Kashmir is had its own rich repository of wild vegetables which people used to consume during earlier times. Over the time people have forgotten about this rich cultural heritage of the valley. It was a common practice that Kashmiris in general and women in particular would come out of their homes and collect the wild vegetables when the spring would set in.
