A Calif. Zephyr in misty Ft. Morgan on 13OCT2026 HAPPY BIRTHDAY U S NAVY!

This morning's California Zephyr #5 arrived in wet Fort Morgan at 0559 MDT (14 min. late). Leading the 8-car train were P42s #145 (wearing Phase III 40th Anniversary livery) and #5. The train was brought to a stop with car 7 (coach) to the east platform for 1 detraining traveler stepping to the platform. There were no new fares. The departure order was given along with reminders of upcoming slow orders west of here. On a clear signal, the Zephyr continued its westward trek with the next stop being Denver's Union Station. There was 1 Phase VII car in this train. The sightseer/lounge was wearing Phase VII livery. My thanks to the operating crew for the greetings this morning. Everyone please stay safe!
