Marching Song of the Dark about the First King of Darkness.

Many centuries ago, before Light and Dark drew unforgiving borders, there stood the Kingdom of Shadows—neither Light nor Dark, but a union of magic, science, and craft. Its ruler, King Wade, a scholar-mage, opened a path into the World’s Shadow, a hidden layer of reality rich in artifacts and raw power. His right hand, Warlord Nikola, led the royal guard and joined those expeditions. The Orders of the Lotus, Golden Flame, and Dusk Sword judged this a mortal threat, branded Wade as “bending to Darkness,” and chose a pre-emptive crusade: the capital was ringed in days, hamlets burned with their people, and the Light Lords played judge and executioner. Through burning streets, Nikola guided Wade to a Place of Power, an ancient gate to the Shadow—yet magisters and Lords closed in as they reached it, and the war was already lost. What happened at the portal is unknown. Some say Wade stepped through and was swallowed by the Shadow, taking the last true name of his people; others whisper Nikola split time itself to hold the gate—his footfall leaving not cracks in stone but fractures in fate. In the Dark lands the marching song remembers Wade not by coronation but by verdict and choice: the first King of Darkness, so named by the Light’s blade and by his passage into the unseen. Beaten out by drums like boots on basalt and sung by legionaries on the Grinding Plain, it is oath and memory at once—banned in the realms of Light, but for the Dark a cadence for the road and a promise that the King of Shadows waits where borders thin. #KingWade #KingdomOfShadows #WarlordNikola #MarchingSong #FallOfTheCapital #OrdersOfLight #OrderOfTheLotus #GoldenFlameOrder #DuskSwordOrder #FirstKingOfDarkness #DarkLegend #ShadowGate #WorldsShadow #DarkSaga #Elarsianor #WorldOfElarsianor
