TIM & TOM | John Lewis Christmas Advert 2026 Inspired | ft. Belle Velvet

Tim & Tom is our 2026 Christmas film, inspired by the John Lewis Christmas adverts. This year, we wanted to do something a little different, bringing an unusual animal into a Christmas story and exploring the unexpected bond between a man and his tortoise. The film follows Tim as he faces his first Christmas without his wife, Nellie, and sets out on a festive mission to bring some happiness to Tom. We're over the moon to have partnered with Belle Velvet for this film, using her song It Reminds Me of You. It felt like the perfect fit, as little things throughout the film reminded Tim of Nellie. A big thank you to The Old Post Office and Twine in Pontefract town centre for letting us film parts of the story in their premises. It's brilliant to see local businesses backing each other, and we're proud to have featured a bit of our hometown in the film. I'd also like to thank everyone who gave up their time, helped out or supported the project in any way. Making a film like this takes a lot of people pulling together, especially when everyone's doing it around their own busy lives. I'm really grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. And finally, thank you to everyone who continues to support what I'm building with Stogden Studios. The aim has always been to tell good stories, champion Northern voices and shine a light on the people and places around us. If you'd like to find out more, you can find us on Instagram at @Stog.den or on Facebook at Stogden Studios. Thanks for watching, and have a reyt good Christmas! --- TIM & TOM | CREDITS Written, Produced & Directed by William Stogden Music by Belle Velvet Starring John Turner as Tim Thomas Stogden as Tom Linda Turner as Nellie CREW Elliot Mitchell | Cinematographer Halle Parker | 1st Assistant Director Rhys Millington | 1st AC & Gaffer Saffron Bowen | Graphic Designer Matilda Loynds | Illustrator Erin Reape | Tortoise Puppet Maker Jassi Kaur | Tortoise Costume Designer LOCATIONS Isha Patel | Location Coordinator (Go Local Ferrybridge) Milan Patel | Location Coordinator (Go Local Ferrybridge) Alec McHale | Location Coordinator (The Old Post Office) James Dransfield | Location Coordinator (Twine) Amanda Cook | Location Support (Twine) SPECIAL THANKS Eileen Stogden | Unit 1 Location Siraj Khan | Catering, Hazara Pizza House The Old Post Office Go Local Ferrybridge Hazara Pizza House Twine MADE ON NO BUDGET Tim & Tom was made on no budget, with everyone involved giving their time, skills and effort to bring the film to life. From the crew working around their own jobs to local businesses letting us use their spaces, it's been brilliant seeing people get behind the project and help make it happen. It just goes to show you don't need a big budget to tell a story you're proud of. You just need a good bunch of people willing to get stuck in. A massive thank you to everyone who helped bring Tim & Tom to life.
