Colin vs Bart is a GRPL Submission Wrestling match with a clear storyline: an undefeated MMA wrestler faces a BJJ fighter who has already proven he can win big on the GRPL mat.
Filmed during the DojoLink Open Mat at Health Center Breukelen, this matchup puts Colin’s unbeaten run directly under pressure. Colin steps in for his fourth GRPL match, still undefeated and looking to keep that streak alive. Bart enters with five GRPL matches behind him, including three dominant wins, and now has the chance to become the first fighter to stop Colin.
This is where the matchup becomes dangerous. Colin brings MMA, wrestling, forward pressure, and the ability to force opponents into difficult exchanges. Bart brings BJJ, patience, mat awareness, and a submission-focused game that can turn one scramble into a serious choke threat.
The match follows the GRPL Submission Wrestling ruleset: one round of 7 minutes, choke-only. A successful choke scores 1 point, followed by a standing reset. After 7 minutes, the fighter with the most points wins the match.
That means this is not about looking dominant. Takedowns do not score. Pins do not score. Control does not score. Colin can use his wrestling to force the action, but he still has to turn that pressure into a clean choke. Bart can be put under pressure and still remain dangerous if one opening appears around the neck.
For Colin, this is a test of momentum. Staying undefeated sounds simple until a BJJ fighter starts turning scrambles into traps. For Bart, this is the perfect opportunity to end a streak and prove that his GRPL experience can solve Colin’s MMA and wrestling pressure.
This is MMA/Wrestling vs BJJ under choke-only rules. Colin wants to stay undefeated. Bart wants to end the streak.
Can Colin keep his perfect GRPL record, or will Bart become the first fighter to beat him?
