China 🇨🇳 | Zhangjiajie: 999 steps & an unforgettable sunset | Ep 6

We spent another day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, this time enjoying some beautiful longer walks, taking in more of the unusual mountain formations and appreciating just how incredible this place really is. Next up was Tianmen Mountain, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! We'd booked an afternoon slot, which actually worked in our favour as it was much quieter than we'd expected. We climbed the famous 999 steps to Tianmen Cave (Heaven's Gate) during the day and were lucky enough to be able to stay until sunset, walking back down the steps with some absolutely incredible views. I love a good sunset!! On our final morning in Zhangjiajie, we squeezed in one last tourist attraction at Huanglong Cave (Yellow Dragon Cave), before heading to the airport for our flight back to Beijing. We spent our last full day in Beijing wandering around the city, enjoying another Peking duck dinner and ending up at karaoke until 5am (had to be done!). No footage from that day, though... some memories are probably better left off camera! 😂 And just like that, after 16 days exploring China, it was time to fly back to London.
