Even before his first NBA game, Jamal Mashburn was planning his exit from the league. The former NBA All Star says he adopted the mindset early in his playing career that he wasn’t going to join the thousands of NBA players who struggle financially once they retire from the league. The savvy entrepreneur has since gone on to own dozens of chain restaurants including Outback Steakhouses, Papa John’s, Dunkin Donuts and more.
