Bonito and bleepin birds bonanza: Exojigs, keiki bars, and a handmade albie swimmer

This was early fall in 2026- me and Carms went looking for false albacore but ran into nice sized blitzing bonito instead. We started by throwing game-on exojigs. I switched to a handmade albie swimmer that got stolen by a bonito 😭. Or was I sharked? Last lure I used was a ‪@CampaniaLures‬ Keiki bar I got while in Hawai’i. Id never used them on the mainland before but the bubble stream they create behind them seem deadly for pelagics. I’m bummed my GoPro had shut off when I got the first bone on it, but we got a couple more with it after. Birds were a problem the whole trip. Check it out. #bonito #albies #hardtail #custombaits
