Track: 09 Velvet Residue Album: INTERSECTIONS (2026) Artist: Silverline Road Genre: Late 80s Pop / Synth-Pop / Dark-Pop / Cinematic Art-Rock --- LYRICS: [Verse 1] The disco ball... is spinning slow... In a room of people... I don’t know I’m dressed in neon Dressed in pride But there’s a hollow space... inside [Verse 2] It’s like a velvet... residue A GOLDEN lining... made of you It’s on my hands It’s in my hair I turn around... but you’re not there [Pre-Chorus] It’s not the gin! It’s not the wine! It’s just the way... our souls... entwine! [Chorus] Oh! I’m dancing... with the VELVET RESIDUE! Everything I touch... feels just like you! A bittersweet addiction... in my veins The only part of us... that still remains! [Verse 3] The strobe lights flicker... Cut the night I’m searching... for a different light Moving fast... to stay in place While chasing shadows... of your face [Bridge] Searching... (So far away...) For a different light... [Chorus] Oh! I’m dancing... with the VELVET RESIDUE! Everything I touch... feels just like you! A bittersweet addiction... in my veins The only part of us... that still remains! --- ABOUT THE ALBUM: 'Intersections' is a 15-track concept album by Silverline Road exploring the delicate crossroads of human connection, isolation, and acceptance. Life is never a straight line; it is an intricate web of moments crossing, touching, and drifting apart. Moving through the cold glare of urban solitude, restless late-night highway drives, and melancholic guitar-driven soundscapes, the album bridges nostalgic late-80s synth-pop with cinematic art-rock. It stands as a testament to the beauty of imperfection—revealing that the fractures and broken lines are not flaws in the blueprint, but the very places where the light breaks through. In the end, it is this great unevenness that makes us human, and it is finally alright. --- #SilverlineRoad #Late80sPop #SynthPop #DarkPop #CinematicRock #ArtRock #Storyteller #SingerSongwriter #HighFidelity #NewMusic #Intersections
