Llyn Clywedog: 2 Osprey Perch☀️06/09/26

🎬LIVE STREAM restarts at☀️8AM &🌙8PM every day. At 9pm on 3rd June Seren (Blue 5F) left the nest, not returning until 5:30pm the next day. Overnight was cold, windy and wet. Without her warmth the chicks were doomed. Early the following morning a ‘Cherry Picker’ was in place and the chicks were rescued. But all too late. They had succumbed to the cold. Male ospreys do not instinctively brood chicks. So, although Dylan was there on the nest with food, he is not biologically wired to brood them or tear up food for them to eat.
