London’s Bad Driving Epidemic Is Getting Worse

Is London’s bad driving epidemic getting worse? From drivers glued to their phones and dangerous undertaking to speeding, aggressive driving and people seemingly racing on public roads, this ride had it all. During this ride, I experienced some seriously dangerous behaviour, including a driver cutting me off so badly that I nearly came off my motorcycle. But I’ve also been reflecting on my own riding. I’ve become more cautious about my speed, more relaxed in traffic, and more conscious of how I react when other drivers put me in difficult situations. Staying safe isn’t just about spotting other people’s mistakes — it’s about recognising your own and learning from them. The worrying thing is that even with me riding more calmly and responsibly, I’m still seeing drivers taking unnecessary risks that could have devastating consequences. This isn’t about claiming every driver is terrible. It’s about highlighting the dangerous habits we see on London’s roads and asking whether things really are getting worse. What do you think?
