Piya aiso jiya mai samaye gayo re...

Steeped in pure classical grace, innocence, and deep poetic yearning, "Piya Aiso Jiya Mein Samai Gayo Re" is one of the most celebrated songs in Indian cinematic history from the Guru Dutt movie 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam' (1962). Composed by the maestro Hemant Kumar and penned with delicate elegance by Shakeel Badayuni, this masterpiece captures the ecstatic joy of a woman hopelessly in love. While onscreen the song was brought to life by the peerless Meena Kumari the effortless magic of Geeta Dutt’s vocal rendition fills the song with unparalleled sweetness, warmth, and innocence, making every word resonate with raw emotion. Had the opportunity to sing this song in a programme of #Ninaad the musical troupe of Rourkela Steel Plant. #geetadutt #hemantkumar #shakeelbadayuni #meenakumari #gurudutt #rourkelasteelplant
