Deep dive in the Roland JD-800 Software synth- why it’s so cool? Roland has release a software recreation of the iconic JD-800. This time using DCB technology or Digital Circuit Behavior. The same technology used in the Boutique series for the D-05 synth. I personally have an emotional link with the JD-800, having learned synthesis on it in the 90s then teaching synthesis on it in the late 90s early 2000s. It’s a great digital synth with a lot of characters. With it's 4 layers of sounds it's pretty powerful and flexible.
