पुणे रिंग रोड हा महाराष्ट्रातील मोठ्या प्रकल्पांपैकी एक असून आता या प्रकल्पात आणखी ७४ गावांचा समावेश करण्याची एमएसआरडीसीने मागणी केली आहे. पुणे शहरात दिवसेंदिवस वाढणाऱ्या ट्रॅफिकमुळे हा रिंग रोड खूप महत्त्वाचा ठरणार आहे. कारण या रस्त्यामुळे बाहेरून येणारी अवजड वाहने शहरात न येता थेट बाहेरूनच पुढे जाऊ शकतील. त्यामुळे वेळ आणि इंधन वाचेल तसेच प्रदूषणही कमी होईल. पण काही ठिकाणी जमीन अधिग्रहणावरून वाद सुरू आहेत. जांभूळवाडीतील शेतकऱ्यांना घर आणि शेती जाण्याची चिंता असल्याने त्यांनी विरोध दर्शवला आहे. एकूण १६८ किमी लांबीचा हा रिंग रोड पूर्ण झाला की पुण्यातील वाहतूक खूपच सुरळीत होईल आणि शहरातील प्रवास अधिक सोपा होईल.
