You Are the Pitch | ABC Training & Professional Development | September 23, 2026

Before anyone learns about your business, they are evaluating you—how you communicate, how you carry yourself, and whether you can remain calm and confident under pressure. In this September 23, 2026 Atlanta Black Chambers Training & Professional Development Committee session, “You Are the Pitch,” communication coach Ryan Justin Jackson, founder of Speak From Center, shares practical strategies to help business owners and leaders communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and impact. Ryan’s framework focuses on what happens before, during, and after the pitch—from managing anxiety to structuring an audience-focused message and following up consistently. Hosted by the Atlanta Black Chambers Training & Professional Development Committee, chaired by Robert H. Johnson Jr., the session explores communication as an inside-out practice and shows why a strong pitch begins before you ever say a word. Ryan walks participants through how to make the customer the hero and yourself the guide, building a pitch around the customer’s problem, your solution, and the result or transformation. He also challenges entrepreneurs to identify what differentiates their business: Can you make the experience faster, less risky, or easier? The workshop also examines the power of delivery—including melody, speaking rate, pauses, volume, and body language—and offers a practical method for recording and reviewing yourself to continuously improve. And the pitch doesn’t end when the conversation does. Ryan emphasizes the importance of letting go of the immediate outcome while continuing to follow up, reminding participants that one pitch is not enough.
