Drizzle, Disappointment & Dinnington: NO SOUND! End of Summer?

Confession. The microphone was working - until I closed the garage door, as I hope you might be able to tell (if you're interested in silent movies: that's the disappointment in the title). As I closed the door, the microphone connection was disturbed just enough to break the link but not enough to be readily visible (I did look at it). I cut about 20 minutes out of the ride and posted the remains anyway, in case anybody wants to see it. There's also a raindrop on the lens near the end. Not my finest hour. It is what it is. I tested the microphone whilst this video was uploading and it works. Now. Despite the drizzle and relatively low temperature (maybe 12C), I enjoyed the ride. The AJS went very well. We took a chance on getting past Dam Dykes level crossing then skirted Northumberlandia and the Blagdon Estate to Dinnington. We came back through Wideopen, Seaton Burn, Dudley and Annitsford. About 17 miles in all, although I had intended a shorter run. I actually talked myself hoarse on this ride but you'll have to take my word for it. Just after reaching home and dismounting, the rain came on more heavily but stopped by the time this upload finished. Bearing in mind past experience of what August in Northumberland does, I'm bound to wonder whether this is the end of summer. It's certainly a contrast to the heat and drought further south. Maybe somebody will find it interesting just for that reason.
