His first Beatport Top 10 tracks date all the way back to 2007, with his first international gigs following soon after. Ever since, he has consistently released melodic and powerful Progressive House records that have found a loyal audience around the globe. Over the years, Portman has developed a signature style that is instantly recognizable. Often copied but never truly replicated, the “Portman sound” has become his musical trademark. It is a sound built around emotion, strongly arpeggiated melodies, driving grooves and the kind of energy that has always been designed with the dancefloor in mind.
