We began our trek from the Maheen village base camp, and what an incredible journey it turned out to be! With a light drizzle falling throughout, the trail added its own magic to the experience. The trek to Maheen Lake takes around 2 hours, and if you want to explore Fish Lake and Gol Lake as well, the entire journey can be completed in about 4 hours. You can even camp overnight at Maheen Lake — just remember to bring your own food and water, as there are no shops along the way. Since rain is common in this area, don't forget to carry an umbrella or a raincoat. This is truly one of the most beautiful treks you'll ever experience.
