FFXIV - E11S 9:13 Black Mage PoV (26,041.1 rDPS / 27,818.9 aDPS)

Rank 2 speedkill for the partition. We have a slightly faster 9:13 (100 dps higher as a team) but I uploaded this one due to better performance (imo). This video showcases some very interesting strategies you can do in E11s to accommodate for melee GCDs and caster (black mage) uptime. Namely the biggest thing we do in this fight is make sure the boss turns 180 degrees for every Burnt Strike mechanic. The boss must turn and face a player, so 7 people bait the Burnt Strike away from me (black mage uptime), but in doing so, since the boss takes the longest to turn 180 degrees, it actually extends the phase just slightly. This allows our melees (esp Samurai) to get an extra GCD in P1 which helps a lot (samurai gets a Yuki which builds one extra sticker). After the 2nd burnt strike we re-orient the boss such that the lightning tether goes true south of the arena (Black mage uptime). If i get the lightning tether, then I can use Aetherial Manipulation to my tanks with a lucky T3P or during a fast F3 weave slot. If it's fire tether, then I am already south and can be in the edge of my leylines and still stack with the group. Another uptime thing we do, is that for the first (scripted) holy protean, I take the east protean and my healer and samurai collapse on me. This helps to reduce movement and the movement is free for AST and SAM, so there is no downside. For this fight, I recommend doing the prepull-LL JP transpose opener (as done in this video) as it aligns very nicely with moving for the first burnt strike or weaving surecast if the first burnt strike is fire knockback. If you are killing this boss sub 9:30, then I recommend prepull potting and potting on CD, this makes sure you get the most out of your three pot windows.
