SSB में Psychologist, GTO और Interviewing Officer अलग-अलग methods से candidate की वही core qualities assess करते हैं जिन्हें *Officer Like Qualities – OLQs* कहा जाता है। इनमें broadly Functional Intelligence, Social Adaptability, Social Responsibility, Courage, Risk Taking Ability, Leadership और group behaviour जैसी qualities देखी जाती हैं। Psychologist का उद्देश्य candidate की rehearsed answers नहीं, बल्कि उसकी underlying personality, attitude और thought process को समझना होता है। TAT में क्या देखा जाता है? Thematic Apperception Test यानी TAT को discussion में बेहद powerful psychological test बताया गया है। Candidate को एक vague picture दिखाई जाती है और limited time में story लिखनी होती है: • Past में क्या हुआ? • Present में क्या हो रहा है? • Future outcome क्या होगा? Story के जरिए candidate का mindset, initiative, attitude, imagination, responsibility और problem-solving approach सामने आता है। WAT – Word Association Test WAT में एक word देखकर candidate को limited time में response लिखना होता है। यह केवल vocabulary test नहीं है। Psychologist यह देखता है कि candidate की spontaneous thinking: • Positive है या negative • Practical है या superficial • Socially responsible है या नहीं • Nation, society और surroundings को कैसे perceive करती है #CommanderSudhirKumar ने “Delhi” word का example देकर समझाया कि एक ही शब्द पर अलग-अलग responses candidate की depth of thinking दिखा सकते हैं। #CdrSudhirKumar SRT – Situation Reaction Test Situation Reaction Test candidate के practical responses को समझने के लिए होता है। अगर unexpected situation सामने आए तो candidate: • डरकर भागता है? • बिना सोचे risk लेता है? • Situation को पहले समझता है? • Calculated decision लेता है? • Social responsibility और empathy दिखाता है? यही elements SRT responses में देखे जाते हैं। Self Description Test Self Description Test में candidate से पूछा जाता है: • वह अपने बारे में क्या सोचता है • Parents उसके बारे में क्या सोचते हैं • Teachers क्या सोचते हैं • Friends क्या सोचते हैं इस test में manipulation या exaggerated self-image आसानी से पकड़ में आ सकती है। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण advice है: *Be truthful to yourself.* क्या Introvert Candidate Select हो सकता है?
