Frédéric Chopin – Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante, Op. 22

Back with more piano — and if you're here from the video game music side of the channel, please enjoy this amazing classical music piece. Chopin's Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante is a piece of two halves. It opens with the Andante spianato — "spianato" means smooth, even, level — a serene, flowing, nocturne-like section that's calm and dreamy. Then appears the Grande Polonaise Brillante: dazzling, heroic, and full of glittering runs and triumphant fanfares. It's the kind of dramatic tonal shift that could inspire video game music composers. Here's a fun one for the comments: if this piece were in a video game (other than the obvious Eternal Sonata 😉), which one would it fit best? 🍄 Super Mario 💨 Sonic the Hedgehog ⚔️ Final Fantasy 🧩 Tetris 🔫 Fortnite ⛏️ Minecraft Something else — drop it below!
