The Housing Market SUCKS! So what are you going to do about it?

It’s been 5 years of this erratic market. After Covid out of state buyers rushed in to Florida cause the state was open - lockdown had been lifted. This great migration of high income earners cash buyers, rich buyers rushed in and shot the housing market up damn near 50%. Many thought work from home was going to be the new way of doing business. Unfortunately, many were called back into the office. Decisions had to be made. That home they paid over asking price for sat for months - some even a year plus. Interest rates hit as high as 7.79% back in 2023. The market had come to a stand still with buyers getting priced out. Natives and long term residents felt the pressure! They put their dreams to the side in hopes that the market would change. There was a glimpse of relief earlier this year when rates hit 5.98%. Nevertheless, home prices were still too high so it didn’t make a differece for the majority. As a realtor in this business since 2023, I’ve learned a lot by researching information about houses and the market to stay in tune to what’s happening.
