The Ercall - Shropshire Hill Walks 111/130 Highest Shropshire Hills AONB

The Ercall (268m) is little sister to the famous Wrekin (406.9m), however it is still full of character. A huge chunk of it was blasted away to provide road stone for the nearby A5, thankfully today, all quarrying activities are now finished. It is one of the smallest qualifying hills in Shropshire (111th highest of 130 hills). There is a nice car-park opposite the Buckatree Hall Hotel, so you don't have to fight for a parking space with the hoards of people whose sole focus is to go up the Wrekin for the umpteenth time.
