Welcome to our trek to Panch Pokhari (4,100m)—one of Nepal’s most breathtaking and spiritually significant high-altitude lake systems located in the Bhotang region of Sindhupalchok. Beyond the rugged trails and stunning Himalayan landscapes lies an extraordinary 2,300-year-old legend that makes this journey truly mystical. ✨ THE LEGEND OF PANCH POKHARI ✨ According to ancient inscriptions, about 2,325 years ago, a famous hunter named Bumba Ruwa Waiba reached this snow-covered terrain while hunting. To his amazement, he saw people actively farming paddy rice in the freezing cold! As he approached, the head farmer—who was Lord Shiva (Mahadev) himself—along with his divine family, suddenly vanished right where the main temple stands today.
