Advent Day 6: QR Interurban Multiple Unit 100 series (IMU 102): Valley to Northgate (Gympie North)

Recorded on July 28, 2019 Two firsts: my first IMU 100 and my first Gympie North train! Queensland Rail's interurban multiple unit 100 series were built by Walkers Limited with ABB traction equipment in Maryborough and were first delivered in 1996, with an additional delivery in 1997. They were built especially to handle the Gold Coast line and share some techinical similarities with the SMU 200s, such as the blower style coolers, heard when departing a station.
