Isaiah 6 | Holy Is The LORD | Country Bible Song

Holy, holy, holy: Isaiah sees the LORD on his throne and is forever changed. A burning coal, a clean heart, and a call to answer, "Here I am. Send me!" Isaiah's vision came around 740 BC, the year King Uzziah died, when Judah was shaken and its long-reigning king was gone. In that moment of loss, Isaiah is given a glimpse of the true King filling the temple with glory. His emotion moves from awe and terror to relief when his sin is taken away, then to willing obedience. The commission that follows is heavy, because the people will not listen and the land will be left waste, yet God promises a holy seed will remain like a stump. Isaiah's confidence comes from God's holiness and mercy, not from his own strength. When God asks, "Whom shall I send?" what is your honest answer today?
