140-MPH Complaint, a 13-Mile Pursuit, and a Fatal Rollover | Blue Mounds, Wisconsin Bodycam

On the evening of Sunday, March 2, 2025, a driving complaint on Highway 151 near Mineral Point — a Lexus reported at 140 mph, passing through the median — turned into a 13-mile pursuit across Iowa County and into Dane County, Wisconsin. Speeds called out over the radio reached 129 mph. Spike strips were being set up at mile marker 66. The Lexus crashed at Exit 65, in the town of Blue Mounds, and rolled. The driver, Bo Austin Johnson, 28, of Platteville, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No officers or members of the public were injured. Because the death resulted from a law-enforcement pursuit, the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation investigated. Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne determined there would be no criminal charges against the involved law enforcement.
