Holding the perimeter of a shattered French border town under catastrophic artillery bombardment! Private Roland Roger, Sergeant Glenn "Hawk" Hawkins, Lieutenant Norman Delaney, and the US Army 1st Infantry Division launch a desperate defensive stand in Mission 01 of Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (2005): "We've Been Through Worse". Serving as the harrowing prologue to Fox Company's multi year deployment across World War II, the unit finds itself cornered amidst the ruins of Maubeuge along the Belgian border. Encircled by advancing German Wehrmacht infantry, armored Panzer units, and screaming Luftwaffe Stuka dive bombers, the squad must fight room to room through pulverized stone buildings. Pvt. Roger must mount heavy machine gun nests to sweep incoming assault squads, eliminate rooftop snipers, defend the town’s stone bridge from armored breakthrough, and survive devastating mortar strikes alongside veteran squadmates Vic Denley, Alvin "Brooklyn" Bloomfield, Stephen Kelly, and new replacement Andy Allen. #CallOfDuty2BigRedOne #BigRedOne #COD2 #WeveBeenThroughWorse #Maubeuge #1stInfantryDivision #FoxCompany #Xbox #PS2 #RetroGaming #Walkthrough #AmericanCampaign
