The Brilliant Design of Kimmy vs. The Reverend

In this video essay, I break down Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend, Netflix’s sitcom interactive experiment. I played through the choices, uncovered the hidden paths and multiple endings, and analyzed whether interactive storytelling adds anything meaningful — or just distracts from good writing. It’s a critical review and breakdown of how Netflix tried to reinvent TV, why the format disappeared, and what this special reveals about audience agency, comedy structure, and streaming-era experimentation. This one was probably one of the best interactives, next to Bandersnatch. #unbreakablekimmyschmidt, #netflix, #videoessay, #netflixreview.#interactivemovie, #mediacriticism
