Can the world’s highest court deliver justice for the Rohingya? As the International Court of Justice prepares to rule on The Gambia v Myanmar, Middle East Eye’s Legal Editor Sondos Asem spoke to Antonia Mulvey, director of Legal Action Worldwide, which represents Rohingya survivors and witnesses.
Mulvey, a former UN investigator, describes the testimony she gathered on the Bangladesh border in 2017. She explains why sexual violence is central to the genocide case and what the judgment could mean for South Africa’s case against Israel.
