Pinecone Gnome Craft

Sumner Public Library- November 2020 Pinecone Gnome Materials Included: • Pinecone • White acrylic paint- paint brush • Felt piece • Wood bead • Fishing line piece Additional Materials needed: • hot glue or craft glue Instructions 1. Add a little bit of water to the white paint, thinning it for a white-washed look. Take your pinecone and paint downward from top to bottom, leaving the underside of the scales natural. 2. Make the beanie using the felt piece (it’s easiest to start rolling from the point). Secure the felt beanie with glue and allow to dry. 3. Add the gnome’s nose (wood bead) to the top of the beard, right under the edge of the felt hat. 4. Tie the fishing line into a loop and attach to the back of the hat, for hanging.
