Do you lie down at night and your mind starts replaying everything you did wrong? 💔
Everybody knows John 3:16. But almost nobody memorized what Jesus said right after it — and there, in verse 18, is a verb in a tense that changes the way you look at your guilt.
In this devotional we open John 3:13–18: Jesus' late-night conversation with Nicodemus, why "no one has ascended into heaven" (God came down), why Jesus compares Himself to the bronze serpent Moses lifted up in the wilderness (Numbers 21), and what it means that "God did not send His Son to condemn the world."
"Whoever believes in Him is not condemned." — John 3:18
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." — Romans 8:1
