Devdas as a film has been a favourite of mine since childhood for its epic music score by legendary Ismail Darbar Ji and also because I am a hug fan of Shah Rukh Khan. The songs have an emotional connect with my childhood and my sister Sagari Chatterjee used to perform to this song always, but recently when I heard it again I found my own sound with it and wanted to fuse that. Tomorrow 1st June incidentally is Ismail Darbar Ji's birthday and I thought this would be an amazing way to pay my humble tribute to him. This song was performed so gracefully by Madhuri Dixit ji and choreographed by the living legend of Indian Classical Dance/Nritya Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji and sung by the great Kavita Krishmoorthy Ji , so all in all I was pretty excited and tensed to play this. I have also titled this as "WHAT NOT TO PLAY AT A BOLLYWOOD SET" as thats another new series I am starting for which you guys will get all the info soon.
