“Memories” by Taylor Vaden (Elvis Cover)

“Memories” was written by Mac Davis and Billy Strange especially for Elvis Presley’s legendary 1968 television special. Elvis performed it during the show’s closing moments, and the song was released as a single in 1969. With its reflective lyrics and simple melody, it became one of the quieter highlights of the comeback period that helped introduce Elvis to a new chapter of his career. I’ve always loved this one, and Elvis Week seemed like the perfect time to share my take on it. I hope you enjoy!
