Let's Talk... The Adaptive Caregiver Model with Andy Baker

In this practical 20-minute talk, Behaviour Specialist and author Andy Baker will introduce the Adaptive Caregiver Model - a framework designed to help family members and professional caregivers adapt their support to the changing needs of a person living with dementia. Andy will introduce four flexible caregiving roles: the Guide, the Navigator,  the Storyteller, and the Companion. A person may need different approaches at different times of the day and at different stages of their dementia journey. Families and professionals will leave with practical questions and strategies they can begin using immediately to protect dignity, reduce distress and create stronger moments of connection.
