I use the Mono Synthesizer application of the MSSIAH which can be controlled in real time by MIDI CC messages. I've made a template on my NI Komplete Control S61 for this purpose so editing is a breeze! All sounds including the drums are coming from my C64's 8580 SID chip. As usual, a touch of delay or reverb was added externally. Synth Works is a project that was realized between 2012 and 2016. On each of these eight pieces, Mr Woofer captures the unique sounds of a specific synthesizer. Each original composition utilizes only one synthesizer for its raw sound material, which is then lightly processed by effects. The reason Mr Woofer uses effects on these "synth demos" is that he is primarily a musician and his main goal is to demonstrate the timbre of a synthesizer in an actual musical composition. There are no dry oscillator comparisons or filter sweeps here!
