Chicago Is NOTHING Like I Expected...

Today I'm reacting to *"40 Tips I Wish I Knew Before Visiting Chicago,"* and I honestly wasn't expecting to come away wanting to book a trip even more than I already did! Chicago has always been one of the American cities at the top of my travel bucket list, but this video completely changed how I think about visiting the Windy City. This travel guide covers everything from the best time of year to visit Chicago, how to use the CTA public transportation system, choosing between O'Hare and Midway Airport, staying safe as a tourist, exploring neighborhoods beyond the Magnificent Mile, and making the most of iconic attractions like the Chicago Riverwalk, Navy Pier, Wrigley Field, and the famous Bean in Millennium Park. One thing that really stood out to me was how beautiful Chicago looks. The skyline, the architecture, the river, and the walkable streets all looked incredible. I even joked that parts of the city reminded me of Scandinavia because of the clean design and modern buildings. Seeing locals enjoying the parks, Riverwalk, and neighborhoods made the city feel so much more welcoming than I expected. I also realized how much my opinion about traveling in the United States has changed. Before watching so many videos about American cities, I honestly thought visiting a major city alone might feel intimidating. Now I feel much more confident, and Chicago looks like one of the safest and most enjoyable places to explore as long as you use common sense and stay in the main tourist and local neighborhoods. Of course, no Chicago trip would be complete without trying the city's famous food. Deep-dish pizza, Italian beef sandwiches, and all the local restaurant recommendations definitely made me hungry! The idea of walking around the neighborhoods, taking the architecture tour, riding the water taxi, and exploring beyond the main tourist areas sounds like the perfect way to experience the city.
