207 Sun Ra (Rocksichord); John Gilmore (tenor saxophone and percussiong); Ronnie Boykins (bass); Beaver Harris (drums) Flushing Meadow Park Queens, NY 4 July 1973 unidentified title According to Pat Padua, a 6-minute mono tape of this performance is extant in the Library of Congress; it was recorded by the Voice of America (for shortwave purposes) but never broadcast. Date from Michael Fitzgerald and Julian Vein; the concert was a memorial tribute to Louis Armstrong which began at 1 pm; Sun Ra's group was the third to appear. The description of the music is by Padua; personnel were announced on the tape, though the emcee kept garbling Boykins' name.
