Randy O: From The Decline to Redemption | Odin Interview

Randy O., singer for the legendary 1980s Sunset Strip band Odin, became known to millions of rock fans through the 1988 documentary The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years. But Randy says the film only told part of his story—and the way he was portrayed had a lasting impact. In this interview, Randy opens up about Odin, his experience making The Decline of Western Civilization, finally getting the major label deal with Lostboys, trying out for Blue Murder, leaving music, his struggles with addiction, and the incredible journey that followed. After hitting some very difficult points in his life, Randy got clean, found faith, rebuilt his life, and ultimately found happiness as a husband and father. This is much more than a story about an 80s metal band.
