Jhalkad is a small town situated 55.5 km from the Naran Valley, in the Mansehra district of Hazara, Pakistan. The Jhalkad-Chillas road connects Naran to Chillas through Babusar top. The town sits 3200 feet above sea level. Weather is cold and harsh in wintertime, and cool in summer. Jhalkad is open to tourists and natives in summer time. The main attractions for tourists are the scenic beauty and a local glacier, as well as the great biodiversity of flora and fauna. Small wooden huts and local craft working add to the character of the town. There are a few small restaurants run by residents. The town is mostly deserted in winter due to snow and cold.
