Fabian Kratzer - Air (Live ‪@TheaterSuP‬ )

AIR is about something we usually don’t notice: the air around us. It is invisible, constantly moving, essential to life – and yet it can be gentle, powerful or even unsettling. Instead of a conventional beat, AIR moves continuously, almost like a breath. The strings form the heart of the piece, creating a sound that is light and open while constantly pushing forward. Subtle electronic textures, generated from piano sounds, add another layer to the atmosphere. This live performance at Theater Salz+Pfeffer brings AIR from the studio to the stage – with an ensemble of strings and piano. Piano: Fabian Kratzer Violin: Gonzalo de la Lastra, Katharina Jungwirt Viola: Lisa Rendelmann Cello: Sophia Schulz Double Bass: Felix Himmler Video:Nando Dietz / ‪@needgmbh‬ AIR is part of Elements, my ongoing musical exploration of the forces of nature – not only as physical phenomena, but also as images for emotions, inner states and change.
