Hiking the Ice Age Trail Monches Segment Part 1 4K

A hike on the Ice Age Trail going south on the Monches Segment in Wisconsin. The hike starts at the Hwy K parking lot and continues south through a hardwood forest to a bridge that crosses the Oconomowoc River. There's a memorial to William A, Ketterer, a hiker and philanthropist. ColdCaching (Geocaching) is discussed. Wildflowers including Jack in the Pulpit, and New England and Calico Asters are seen. Giant and Stump puffball mushrooms are seen and also Turkey Tail mushrooms. We see the site of the Oconomowoc River Restoration Project and the start of fall leaf colors.
