Achieving the nearly impossible goal of reaching the lowest score possible on any course: 214 points.
What makes this so difficult, you ask? Well, because in order to achieve this you must:
• Never eat the same fruit twice in a row
• Avoid eating or defeating any enemies that reward points
• Ignore melons
• Ignore Heart Fruit
• Avoid Special Hearts
• Avoid coins
• Match the Favourite Fruit with the Lucky Fruit
• Knock out every Yoshi but the one who matches the Lucky Fruit
And that is one strict list!
For starters, you will need to get rid of all but one Yoshi, as to avoid the 100 points for each Yoshi in the roster. But the last Yoshi must match the Lucky Fruit, in order to override the Favourite Fruit, which otherwise would result in extra points.
Breaking it down to the basics, each course has a total of 60 fruit = 30 melons + 30 regular fruit. The basic fruit are divided into 12 Lucky Fruit, 6 Favourite Fruit, and 12 regular fruit.
Regular fruit = 1 point
Favourite Fruit = 3 points
Lucky Fruit = 8 points
However, if the Favourite Fruit matches the Lucky Fruit, the Lucky Fruit will override the Favourite fruit. This leaves us with a third kind of regular fruit, that otherwise would have been Yoshi's Favourite Fruit.
We then have 12 lucky fruit, 0 Favourite Fruit, and 18 regular fruit!
Of the 30 fruit needed to complete a course, the 12 Lucky Fruit add up to 12 x 8 points = 96 points, while the 18 regular fruit = 18 points, which altogether sums up to a total of 114 points. Add 100 points for the last Yoshi in play, and Yoshi's Mood will be a not so happy 214 points.
