According to reports, Mohammed Mansoor Ali and his wife Rehana Begum have been running the restaurant for around six years. The dispute reportedly escalated over rent and the use of the premises, after which both sides approached the police and counter-cases were registered. Police have also stated that the restaurant’s FSSAI licence was suspended on September 26, 2026, following food-safety and hygiene deficiencies noticed during an inspection. The restaurant operators, however, have made serious allegations regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident and have expressed concerns about the demolition and the pressure they allegedly faced. These allegations remain subject to investigation and have not been established as facts.
