New Tesla Roadster: Rockets, Sub-1sec 0-60mph + 330mph! | 4K

This is the new Tesla Roadster – and in its ultimate guise, it will fly! There are four versions, from a base Roadster, via a Performance model that produces over 1340hp, to a Thrust version that boasts cold-gas thrusters, up to a limited-edition Rocket iteration that Tesla promises will fly! The performance at that top end of the Roadster family is nuts, with a sub-1sec 0-60mph time (maybe even under 0.59sec!) and a top speed of 330mph! We spent a couple of hours with this groundbreaking sports car the day before it was unveiled, in the company of Tesla’s Chief Designer, Franz von Holzhausen, and Tesla’s VP of Vehicle Engineering, Lars Moravy. Here’s everything you need to know, including where it borrows tech from SpaceX and Tesla’s Optimus robot.
