Growing Hopi Blue Corn on the Hopi Reservation -2019. Modified dry farming. #dryfarming #hopi #corn

While working and living in Hopi in 2019, I decided to Dry Farm a small amount of Hopi blue corn right off the overhang of my back porch. This worked pretty good as we only had a small amount of rain that year. The porch concentrated the rain and watered the plants with just enough water to let them thrive. In this video, you can Watch my Hopi blue corn seedlings turn into beautiful blue cobs of blue corn. In 2019 there was a drought year and a lot of people's corn died on the Hopi reservation. I was lucky to get just enough rain when I was gone for weeks at a time that the corn survived.
