1990s Coin Operated Car Kiddie Ride - Sesame Street Bert & Ernie

Filmed at South Pier, Blackpool on October 27th 2016. Manufactured by Fun2Learn, this ride was released in 1996. It was part of a series of different Sesame Street rides and probably the second most popular in the UK (after Big Bird's train). Unfortunately, this particular model was mute. Funnily enough, the "Sing-a-Long monitor" was still working...but I'm not sure what riders are supposed to sing along with! The other ride lunatic featured in this video is my friend Shane - you can find his channel here:    / @shanemichaelhenderson2728   My apologies for the amount of talking, laughing and general goofing about in this video. That tends to happen when ride people get together! I absolutely hate the sound of my own voice so I will attempt to get another video of a Bert & Ernie car at some point in the "normal" style with no commentary for the website. :) I am currently working on a website about coin operated rides, particularly those made (or at least commonly distributed) in the UK during the 1950s-90s. If anybody has old photos/video footage that they wouldn't mind sharing with me, please e-mail me at coinoperatedrides@hotmail.com or leave a comment below. I would be eternally grateful. Thank you! :)
