Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is a remaster of Dynasty Warriors 3 with additional content from its Xtreme Legends expansion. Combining both Dynasty Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends into one cohesive game, this remaster includes HD graphics and enhanced battlefield effects to provide veteran players with a whole new gaming experience. The user interface has also been refined to streamline the player's gaming experience. Audio from both the English and Japanese versions have been retained, though the former assigns characters with voice clips from other numbered titles for their battle grunts. Musou Mode is mostly preserved, though new scenarios are added. These can be unlocked by fulfilling specific conditions. Free Mode now includes labels to distinguish between stages from the base game and its Xtreme Legends expansion. Other gameplay modes remain largely intact. New to the game is a weapon fusion feature that lets players transfer stats from one weapon to another, giving them the means to customize their own weaponry like in more recent titles and spin-offs. Weapon inventory for each character has also been expanded for this purpose. Gameplay mechanics can be visually adjusted by selecting between different options for optimal experience.
