How The Chalky Fox Brand Began

Hey guys! This is a bit nuts because I originally made this video for TikTok, but I thought I’d share it here too. It’s my original one-minute introduction to The Chalky Fox and the story behind how the brand started. This video was made a little while ago, so it’s a bit cheesy, and I’ve learned a lot since then—but it’s still a big part of the journey. The Chalky Fox was inspired by a real fox I saw sitting on a wall in someone’s garden. He was so cheeky and relaxed that he reminded me of a pet dog. For some reason, seeing him sparked an idea. At the time, I was delivering parcels for Evri and kept thinking, “What would I call my small business if I ever started one?” As soon as I saw that fox and heard his story, I knew the name had to be connected to him. I wanted The Chalky Fox to feel cheeky, funny and uplifting—something that might cheer you up on a bad day. I also knew it wasn’t going to be just a few T-shirts for friends. I imagined lots of different designs and products, each with its own style. Sometimes it honestly feels like I’m not even running the business. I’m just the worker following this sneaky fox’s instructions! Before starting my own business, I used to deliver in a lorry to warehouses and storage units. I was always fascinated by asking business owners how they got started. Some people said they simply fell into it, while others said they disliked their old job and wanted a change. I’ve always found people’s business stories fascinating, and now I’m trying to share some of my own journey as I build The Chalky Fox. I’m also hoping to build a small community here, on TikTok and Instagram. If you enjoy following new business journeys, creative ideas and small-business stories, I’d love for you to join me. P. S. This feels cringe, but some time ago now! Keepin it Reel!
