Secret Wars Spider-Man (Alien Symbiote) & Daredevil Retro Carded Marvel Legends Review

In this video, I examine the retro-packaged Secret Wars Spider-Man (Alien Costume) and Daredevil figures, with a close look at their card art, presentation, sculpted details, paint, and accessories. These Secret Wars-themed releases draw from Marvel’s classic 1980s event-comic aesthetic, recreating the colorful nostalgia of the original toy era. The first Secret Wars limited series brought Marvel’s heroes and villains to Battleworld, where the Beyonder transported them for a conflict that reshaped several characters and storylines. Spider-Man’s black alien costume debuted in Secret Wars #8, when Peter Parker used an alien machine believing it would repair his damaged suit—only to later learn the costume was a living symbiote. Daredevil, Matt Murdock, is the blind Hell’s Kitchen lawyer whose heightened remaining senses and relentless determination make him one of Marvel’s most enduring street-level heroes. I’ll be covering the details of both the packaging and figures, but I will not be covering their articulation. The Alien Costume Spider-Man retro release is part of the modern Secret Wars-style retro assortment.
